Truth and Lies

Audience: Teachers, Counselors, Children/Youth Pastors

We all know teaching is hard work! Sometimes we can begin to believe the lies that are whispered into our hearts and minds about the work we are doing. This interactive session will explore and expose those lies and provide opportunity to evaluate them in light of our calling.   

Heidi A. Hoefs, MAED, Director of Dual Enrollment Adjunct Instructor

Heidi has multiple roles on campus. She works full-time as the Director of Dual Enrollment. She also serves as an adjunct instructor in the School of Education. Courses she has taught include Educational Psychology, Education Ethics and Student Field Experience Supervision. Professionally, she is on the Board of Directors with Christian Educators Association International, and has been involved with Daniel Movement in Europe, and COMPASS Ministry. Prior to working at Northwestern, Heidi taught American History and Spanish at Mahtomedi Middle School for many years. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, and training her German Shepherd.
